Product Name : Whole Star Aniseed New Autumn Crop 2012
Date: 02th August, 2012
New Autumn Crop (Main Crop) 2012 of Star Anise in Vietnam starts to be harvested with bulk quantity from the end of July, 2012. This new Crop is harvested from the second week of June, 2012 and it is protracted till the fourth week of September, 2012. Time for harvest maybe be later and this is subject to consumption of markets, especially Indian & Chinese markets.
Quality of star anise is approved so much with batches, which are picked up in this August, 2012. On basis of our analysis for new samples, we see that flowers size is bigger than before, size of 2.5cm contain about 80-86% and its broken pieces are small. With favorable weather, sun & hot, harvest and drying (natural drying on ground by sunshine) are so easy. So, moisture is gocontrolled under good condition & color is so bright.
By real visits to plantations and by accessing farmers, we are known that this year's Crop of Star Anise (Autumn Crop, 2012) is most abundant & about 10 years, crop of star anise in Vietnam is bumper.
At this moment, demand for star anise is quite slow. So, most picked quantity of star anise is dried and piled in home of farmers to wait for increase of price.
With our good experiences, we believe that price of star aniseed reached bottom & this is seasonable time range for speculating & for importers who have strong finances.
