Practice has shown that the most effective filter is a spark arrestor with a water curtain. Only such a spark arrester gives a 100% guarantee that not a single spark will, under any circumstances, fly into the ventilation system.

But if for some reason you cannot install such a spark arrester, you can use a dry - labyrinth one. According to Russian standards, in such cases, the furnace must be equipped with a separate chimney.

The ventilation system belongs to the engineering systems of the building. Therefore, it must be designed and installed by professionals.

When installing a dry spark arrestor, the following rules must be observed:

• The distance from the top edge of the spark arrester to the bottom edge of the exhaust hood must be at least 0.5 meters.
• The hood must be equipped with grease filters.

The spark arrestor consists of two parts: the spark arrestor itself (lower block) and the cone diffuser. Sparks are extinguished and settle in the form of soot in the labyrinth of the lower block. The block is not collapsible.

The cone diffuser serves for better mixing of the ambient air and hot gases coming out of the oven - barbecue. The diffuser is equipped with an easily removable steel mesh. The mesh is the last stage of the spark arrestor and the first grease filter.
