The water pump is used in the cooling system of KUBOTA Z400 engines and in engines of other modifications. The water pump circulates antifreeze in the engine cooling system, thereby ensuring uniform cooling of the engine parts of the head and cylinder block. Structurally, the engine water pump consists of the following main parts: housing, shaft, impeller, bearings, seals and pulley hub.

Incorrect adjustment of the drive belt, damage to the impeller, wear or breakage of bearings and seals can damage the water pump. If the water pump fails, the engine will quickly overheat, which can lead to engine seizure. Timely diagnosis and replacement of the water pump will protect against more serious engine damage.
