Quartz shredded

Quartz sand, fraction of 1.0-2.0 mm.
In comparison with sand of a natural origin this material favourably differs in monominerality, uniformity, high intergrain porosity, and, therefore — contaminant capacity. Its sorption ability allows to delete the oxidized iron and manganese from water. Possesses high resistance to mechanical, chemical, atmospheric, water actions. It is applied in production of decorative and finishing materials, in front and interior plasters, landscaping. Among other things, at production of concrete blocks allows to receive soft, pastel shades. Also it is used in public catering for use in food warmers at preparation of coffee on sand. Sometimes use the shredded quartz mixed with special elements as paint of pastel color.
