Disinfecting in system is reached by the volume microwave heating causing molecular vibration of water, contained in any live organism with high frequency therefore there is a heating causing death of microorganisms. In the course of disinfecting waste heats up to temperature about 100 °C.

MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL:
Control of installation is exercised by means of the special touch display. Such technical solution has a number of essential advantages in front of traditional push-button panels. If the customer will want to add additional functions to the equipment which is available for him (an automatic fire extinguishing system, automatic addition of water, identification of operators, etc.), necessary governing bodies will be easily added by software updating.
Control of process is exercised by electronic sensors of temperature that guarantees uniform heating of waste and lack of not heated-up sites, and also allows to refuse use of one-time indicators of temperature (quality of sterilization) which accuracy is rather low, and the technique of determination of completeness of process is subjective. Temperature of the waste which is in the container is continuously measured and displayed on the LCD display in real time.
The program automatically considers the volume and initial temperature of the loaded waste that relieves the operator of need of the choice of any parameters of process.
On the termination of a cycle of disinfecting the check sticker with data on time, the date, temperature, the organization which was carrying out disinfection is automatically printed out. The check is printed out in duplicate, one of which, brought in a log-book, the second is pasted on a package of waste.

THE WASTE PROHIBITED TO PROCESSING IN SYSTEM:
- explosive and flammable substances;
- the closed firm tanks of large volume (for example, hermetically closed glass bottles);
- chemically aggressive liquids, including concentrated acids and alkalis.

SAFETY
Safety of work of installation is ensured by automatic shutdown of a chain of magnetrons and the termination of heating at emergence of a local overheat or temperature increase 110 °C are above. At the same time the sound signal informing the operator on an emergency situation sounds. The built-in system of ventilation and filtering of air provides lack of unpleasant smells and allows to operate installation without connection to positive-pressure ventilation.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
For fuller automation of process and an exception of a stage of addition by the operator of water in the container with waste the automatic system of water supply which doses water in the container with waste is used. This system guarantees exact dosing of the necessary volume of water and allows to exclude a possibility of a nedouvlazhneniye or full not moistening of waste because of the operator.
The Sterius installation is equipped with an autonomous fire extinguishing system. When exceeding temperature above 110 °C the system of automatic water supply works. In case of lack of water supply works
fire extinguishing system on the basis of pyrostickers which throws fire extinguishing structure in the camera. The detector of leakage of microwave radiation which works when exceeding is built in a door of system
tolerance level of radiation.
