6x6, 300 hp, timber truck on the KAMAZ 43118 - 50 chassis with GMU VM10 L74 (on the rear overhang)
A short log truck with GMU consists of the following main assembly units: the chassis of the KAMA3 - 43118 vehicle and attachments, including a subframe, cab fencing, bunkers, mud guards, ladders, electrical equipment, hydraulic manipulator and hydraulic equipment.
The subframe is made of steel 09G2S, it is a wired channel with a thickness of 8 mm interconnected by cross members and a cross to provide additional strength of bending stresses during loading and unloading operations in the area of the hydraulic manipulator installation. The hydraulic manipulator is installed by attaching the studs to the bushings by welding the bushings with the plates on the side plates, which also provides additional strength of bending stresses during loading and unloading operations, in compliance with all recommendations of the installation manual of KAMAZ PTC and PALFINGER concern.
Cab Guard - The front shield protects the cab from being hit by logs during loading and transportation. Fastening of the cab guard to the frame is carried out using bolted connections. The material of the cab fence is made of 09G2S steel.
The bunks are 8 mm thick, designed for stacking and transporting assortments. The structure of the bunkers consists of a bunk base, racks and plates. Two of the four bunks are equipped with a cart lashing system, which includes a cable winch and cable fixing pins. The bunkers are fastened to the frame using bolted connections, which ensures their repair and replacement during operation. The material of the bunks is made of steel 09G2S.
The planks protect the devices and elements of the base chassis from impacts. The decks are bolted to the top of the frame for easy access to chassis assemblies for maintenance and service. Decking material made of St3PS steel. Antisplash casings are also made of St3PS steel.
Additional electrical equipment includes electrical equipment of the hydraulic manipulator to illuminate the working area when loading timber, to give a sound signal, as well as to start the power take - off (PTO) of the base vehicle located on the lower dashboard of the instrument switches.
Hydraulic equipment includes a hydraulic pump from the Italian manufacturer OMFB , a hydraulic tank, hydraulic equipment of a hydraulic manipulator and a system of pipelines, hoses for low and high pressure. A hydraulic tank with a capacity of 200 liters excludes the possibility of oil heating during loading and unloading of a log truck, which makes it possible to work without an oil cooler.
The distance from the cab fence to the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic manipulator is
6540 mm, which ensures safe loading, transportation and unloading of the assortment.
