Thermotransfer tape (ribbon)

The painting tape consists of a poliesterovy film on which the layer of dry ink is applied. Ribbona are the main expendable material for the thermotransfer press. The thermotransfer press represents process at which the image is transferred to the carrier by fusion of a hard ink coating of a tape. Transfer is carried out by heating of the printing head (thermohead) and its dot impact on the painting layer. After the layer of dry ink will melt, it is fixed on a surface of packing and instantly dries up, leaving the accurate high-contrast image.

The painting tape (ribbon) happens 3 types:

- (ribbon on a wax basis) it is recommended to WAX to use for the press on simple, not glossy paper. This type of ribbon does not differ in resistance to external influences, in particular, to attrition, and also to solvents, is very susceptible to external environment.

- RESIN (ribbon on the basis of pitch) gives the chance to receive the image, the steadiest against external influences - to attrition, influence of moisture, temperature and hostile environment. - WAX/RESIN NEAR EDGE - (ribbon on the basis of wax and pitch) is specially developed for NEAR EDGE printers with the angular printing head, gives the chance to provide the high-quality press, lack of gaps on black, resistance to attrition and durability of the received image.

The thermotransfer tape WAX/RESIN is applied to the press both on synthetic materials, and on a cardboard and paper (glossy, with a covering and without covering). The reverse side of a thermotransfer tape has the covering increasing service life of a thermohead of TTP and protecting it from dirt. This type of a ribbon finds broad application in trade and the industry, and is usually applied when high resistance of the image to attrition is important.
