The granulated beet press

Product of processing of sugar beet at sugar factories. Beet shaving no more than 2 mm thick from which extracted almost all sugar, and also the most part of water-soluble mineral and organic compounds. Humidity of fresh press about 90%.

At beet plants the crude press is dried up and receive product with the content of sugar about 5%.

The dry beet press is valuable source of calcium, potassium, cellulose, proteins, copper and iodine.

The beet press is delivered in the form of shaving or in the granulated look. In the latter case in the course of granulation treacle (molasses beet) can be added to dry press which increases durability of granules of press and its nutritional value.

In general, the beet press can be characterized as highly nourishing fodder raw materials which are widely used in animal husbandry. The standard daily rate recommended for feeding makes: 50-60 kg for KRS, for milk cows - 40 kg.

In that case when for feeding the press beet granulated is used, the standard daily rate will make: 5-6 kg for KRS and about 4 kg on each head of dairies.

On nutritional value the dried-up beet press has characteristics similar with wheat bran. It is not recommended to increase the specified norms as surplus of press in daily diet of animals can have an adverse effect on quality of milk.
