The system is filled with the heat carrier - cooling liquid. It is filled in through MAZ radiator, and here in a radiator there is its cooling.
Cooling happens in two ways:
- at the movement of the car the counter flow of air passes through radiator edges; - the MAZ separate fan forcibly directs air through edges.
In principle, also the counter flow could be enough, but during stops it is absent per se, and the engine at the same time often continues to work and cooling is all the same necessary for it.
The MAZ fan drive, is a belt pulley and as in any other belt drive, the belt of the fan has a property to stretch. Weakening of a belt leads to its slipping and, as a result, to interruptions in operation of the fan, and even to its full stop. For providing a normal tension on the Minsk cars the device tension YaMZ is used.
From OZh radiator on pipelines moves to special canals - an engine shirt. There is a heat exchange at which liquid cools the engine, but heats up. At the exit from a shirt there is a branch to a heater radiator, but it is used in cold weather, and so liquid moves towards the pump.
The pump of water MAZ is put in action directly from the engine, that is, the motor works - the pomp works. Of course, any circulation of liquid will happen also without participation of the pump, only at the expense of a difference in temperatures. But for high-quality cooling of its working engine will be insufficiently, here and MAZ pomp is engaged in creation of necessary pressure. After liquid moves to a radiator and it is made a fresh start.
