Cartridge heaters are cylindrical electric heating elements designed for local heating of large mass metal parts (often molds). Due to their appearance, they are also called finger heating elements. The design has several constituent elements and can be presented in several versions.

The body of the finger heater is made of stainless steel, which guarantees high thermal conductivity and resistance to oxidation and chemical corrosion. A ceramic rod is used as a core, through which a heating element passes - a rheostat wire. The heater has a high resistance.
