However galvanized steel possesses also a shortcoming — at hit on it of moisture, in particular atmospheric, it is insufficiently well protected from its harmful effects that leads to destruction of metal products or designs. For increase of corrosion resistance sheet steel is subjected to galvanization with the subsequent coloring.
The steel painted also perfectly gives in to all types of machining, but at the same time service life of the products made of it considerably increases. In the course of hot galvanizing of a steel sheet it is formed ferro - the zinc alloy providing to finished goods not only barrier, but also electrochemical (galvanic) protection against corrosion, and the subsequent coloring creates one more additional protective layer on a leaf surface. Thanks to it such type of metal rolling as the steel painted differs in special durability: the term of its service even in adverse atmospheric conditions makes not less than ten years, and normal can reach also 30-40 years. Depending on quantity of a zinc covering the sheet painted steel differs on thickness which fluctuates from 0,21 to 4,2 mm. The galvanized painted steel in rolls strip from 600 to 1500 mm wide and weighing roll from 2.5 to 7 t is issued.
