Application. In the rubber industry stearic acid is used as the activator of vulcanization accelerators, dispergator of fillers of rubber stocks, softener (plasticizer). At direct introduction to rubber it improves distribution of ingredients and workability of rubber stocks. Tendency of stearin to migration promotes decrease in glutinosity of rubber stocks.
