Solders lead-free

Solder — the metal or an alloy applied at the soldering to connection of preparations and having melting temperature below than the connected metals. Apply alloys on the basis of tin, lead, cadmium, copper, nickel, etc.

The soldering is carried out or for the purpose of creation mechanically strong (sometimes tight) a seam, or for receiving electric contact with small transitional resistance. At the soldering of a junction and solder is heated. As solder has melting temperature much below, than the connected metal (or metals), it melts while the main metal remains firm. On border of contact of the melted solder and solid metal there are various physical and chemical processes. Solder moistens metal, spreads on it and fills gaps between the connected details. At the same time components of solder diffundirut in the main metal, the main metal is dissolved in solder therefore the intermediate layer which after hardening connects details in a single whole is formed.

Choose solder taking into account physical and chemical properties of the connected metals, the required mechanical durability spy, its corrosion stability and cost. At the soldering of current carrying parts it is necessary to consider specific conductivity of solder.
