Description

The separator of a continuous purge  of cyclonic type is intended for division of the blowing-off water of a copper into steam and water which is formed of blowing-off water of boilers at decrease in its pressure from intra boiler up to the pressure in a separator and for the purpose of the subsequent use of heat of water and steam. Division happens due to action of the centrifugal forces caused by tangential input of water in a separator. After that to the consumer steam of high degree of dryness arrives.

Separators can be applied in systems of collecting condensate for the purpose of reduction of a consumption of the consumed steam and losses of heat with the taken-away parokondensatny mix. 
In separators besides a tangential supply of condensate (blowing-off water) vertical zhalyuziyny drop catchers for an osushka of steam of secondary boiling up are established.
The separator is applied in schemes with the deaerator of atmospheric type.

Device and principle of work

The separator represents a vertical cylindrical vessel (see Fig. 1) with elliptic bottoms, the bringing opposite placed branch pipes, Paro - and the water taking away branch pipes, the index of level for visual control, the spring safety valve, and a float-operated kondensatootvodchik which automatically maintains water level. Turning of a stream is carried out at the expense of an organized supply of steam-and-water mix on an internal wall of a separator with installation of internal guides of devices. Usually the consumption of blowing-off water on a separator makes from 1% to 5% of productivity of a copper.
Division into steam and water happens in a middle part of a separator. Steam, keeping rotary motion, goes to steam space and it is taken away through the branch pipe located on the top bottom. Water flows down on an internal surface of a separator in water volume and is taken away through the branch pipe located in the lower part of the case. On the lower bottom the union for water drainage from a separator at its shutdown is provided and for periodic cleaning of the lower part of water volume of slime and pollution.
