Scotch pine

The tree pine is one of the most valuable breeds coniferous in our country. Reaching 35-40 m in height, treats trees of the first size. The circle of trunk reaches 1 m. It is covered with reddish-borax, with grooves, the exfoliating bark. At the trunk basis bark is much thicker than that which is located above. Such "idea" of the nature bears in itself protective function, protecting tree from overheat and the local fire. At pines which grow in close forest stands, trunk more harmonous with openwork krone. So far tree young, the krone has the cone-shaped form. With age it kruglet, becomes wider, and in old age gets flat or umbrella-shaped form. The pine needles have glaucous-green color. It is rather dense, often sticking out, curved, fasciculate on 2 needles. Length of 4-7 cm of Hvoinka pointed, slightly flattened, have thin longitudinal strip. There live the needles 3 years. In the fall, is more often in September, the part of needles falls down. Before it hvoinka gain yellow color from what the krone looks motley.
