It is applied as fungicide, and also in medicine as a part of ointments and powders (tsinkundan, duotundan).
It turns out interaction of aniline with salicylic acid in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride.
Physical properties. Grayish powder. T. plavl. 136 — 138 ° (from alcohol). Rastvo. in water of 55 mg/l, we will well dissolve in alcohol.
Toxic action. At introduction through mouth for white mice of LD50 = = 2,4 g/kg, and rats did not perish also from 3 g/kg. At daily introduction through mouth to rats and rabbits within 20 days on 0,5 g/kg of toxic action it is not revealed (Prokopovich). At long contact with leather of rats causes only weak irritation [90].
On toxicity it is close to salitsilanilid 3,5 - dikhlorsalitsilanilid.
