3.1 Rust solvent is recommended to use in processes of maintenance of cars, mechanisms, equipment, metalwork. It can be used also for the purpose of anticorrosive protection of steel surfaces (pipes, pumps for oil production, bridges, support of high-voltage lines, railway cars, sea vessels, etc.) as phosphating reagent with the subsequent putting paints and varnishes, it is effective for processing of joint welds.
3.2 Before putting rust solvent it is necessary to carry out preparation of metallic surface: to clear it of bedded rust mechanically and to degrease (if there is such need).
3.3 Rust solvent is applied with brush or the sprayer. After drawing the converter the metallic surface is exposed to drying in the natural way. For better derusting it is necessary to repeat processing to 2-3 times. Rust solvent does not demand remover water. In processing it is not admissible hits of moisture on the processed surface!
3.4 As a result of transformation of rust on metallic surface the phosphatic film which well absorbs the put primers and paints and varnishes on the basis of the alkyd, acrylic, phthalate, epoxy, latex and petropolymeric resins is formed.
3.5 Further processing by primers and paints and varnishes is made on dry surface not earlier than 12 hours (optimum 24 hours) after drawing final coat of rust solvent.
3.6 To perform works at temperature not below 5 °C.
3.7 Consumption rates: at single processing of 1 m — 100-200 g of the converter. The expense depends on way of drawing, by nature rusts, and also on its thickness.
