Horse yuft on thickness and appearance is close to yuft from skins of cattle. On density, water resistance and wear resistance it concedes to yalovochny yuft, and surpasses it in softness and viscosity.

Pork yuft for top of footwear is issued in very limited quantity. The shortcomings characteristic to all of us from pork raw materials are inherent in it:

• rough measuring the through time of big diameter reducing skin water resistance,
• insufficient softness and plasticity, the small area of skin with big difference of thickness.

Produce yuft combined (with application for a tanning of chromic salts, vegetable tanid of synthetic dubitel) and a chromic tanning.

For yuft of the combined tanning number of a pro-oak has to be no more than 40% as big degree of a produblennost stiffens skin.

Chromic tanning produce the so-called heat-resistant yuft from skins of cattle impregnated with water dispersions of polymers. Such yuft differs in the increased thermal stability and water resistance, and thanks to the small content of the fattening substances gets off better and has good appearance; its shortcoming — smaller softness and insufficient plasticity.

On nature of finishing yuft for top of footwear can be smooth (with the natural or polished person), cut and trimmed on a bakhtarma. When cutting on a front surface squeeze out various coarse-grained drawings hiding minor front defects. On the bakhtarmyany party usually finish the yuft having serious front defects or to a cage.
