RM-04 radio modem for KDU-1M controllers dorab.

There are two modifications ensuring functioning with any system controllers:

- RM-04M. Output power is 4 W, on the basis of Motorola P020 radio station
- RM-04A. Output power is 10 MW, on the basis of Alan 516 radio station.

RM-04M is intended for radial communication on a radio channel of traffic light objects during their work in system of coordinate management of ASUDD-KS or telemetric cases of external lighting during the work in a control system of street illumination of Gorsvet-KS in the range of frequencies of 147 - 174 MHz or 410 - 470 MHz. At the same time the radio communication of the central supervisory console (the basic modem and the antenna) with controllers in the ASUDD system (the DKM, DKP, DKLMP, KDU type and others) or ACS of "Gorsvet-KS" (KSI type) is provided.

RM-04A is intended for zone (sectional) communication at a frequency of 433 MHz in system coordinate upravleniyaasudd-KS. This option assumes communication between traffic light objects within one highway (and in the conditions of direct visibility between the basic and most remote intersection) on radio, with further communication with the center of one controller of this highway for a wire. The radio communication is realized in the block of frequencies of all-civil use in this connection there is no need for obtaining the allocated frequency for bodies of Gossvyaznadzor.

The modem is installed directly on a mast. Installation of the modem in cases of KDU-3, KDU-1M controllers dorab is possible., KDU-1 dorab., ShNOT, on door inside.

Pay attention that if the modem is delivered with the antenna, it means that they are already coordinated. At connection of other copy of the antenna repeated coordination by the choice of a point of connection of a cable will be required. The sizes of the antenna are defined by your allocated frequency (frequencies) and we would like to recognize them at the order (otherwise delivery time breaks).

In the photo not directed antenna (the circular directional pattern) is shown. At installation of an additional nozzle (at least one director and a reflector) the antenna becomes directed, and at installation on object it has to be focused properly.

Connection of RM-04

The radio modem is connected by twisted couple with the section of a wire of 0,2 sq. mm to road controllers. ASS-UD protocol (L1, L2) or RS485 (A and B). Hardware contacts of ASS-UD and RS 485 are combined, the protocol of an exchange is defined by a radio modem insertion. In a control system of street lighting the RS485 interface is always used.

PAY ATTENTION! After installation of a radio modem on object before its connection to the controller be convinced of lack of potential on the case!

Potential can appear, for example, because of leakages of the lighting cables suspended on extensions which are fixed on a radio modem mast.
