Quartz sand for burning in the boiling layer

High mechanical durability and thermal stability of quartz sand allow to apply it as inert material in furnaces with the boiling layer.

The burning method in the boiling layer is used in commercial or municipal boiler rooms and combined heat and power plant in a power range from 5 to 600 MW for receiving electric and thermal energy. The additional advantage of this method is the possibility of burning of different types of fuel (to only 70 types), including low-grade coal, peat, municipal solid waste, waste of pulp and paper mill, etc.

Burning in the boiling/circulating layer allows to reach the greatest efficiency and profitability due to almost 100% combustion of fuel at the smaller level of issue of waste of burning in comparison with direct burning. When using this method the crushed wood fuel moves in the "boiling" layer created by blowing off of air or gas through a layer of inert material (quartz sand). The amount of inert material is significantly more than amount of fuel therefore process of burning proceeds steadily with high efficiency. Depending on the speed of a purge of a particle of an inert layer remain in it or are taken out from a layer together with products of burning and gather by means of cyclones then come back to the boiling layer (a method of the circulating layer).

Sand is packed up in bags on 50 kg and in a container of MKR-1 (big-run) on 1000 kg
