As a result, a method of pyrolysis utilization of solid carbon - containing waste and a waste processing complex for its implementation have been developed and patented.

The essence of the proposed method lies in the thermal effect on the processed waste without oxygen access according to a given temperature program until the complete decomposition of carbon - containing substances into gas and solid phases with obtaining liquid fuel fractions and combustible gas in one technological cycle.

This technology is used in the operation of the KPU Megalion - NP - 2 pyrolysis unit, which contains two drum reactors, a conveyor line for loading raw materials into reactors, a steam - gas mixture condensation unit, a transport line for unloading carbonaceous residue into a storage hopper, and a fan cooling tower.


As a result of thermochemical destruction of carbon - containing raw materials in a rotating reactor at temperatures of 300 - 400 ° C in an oxygen - free environment, a vapor - gas mixture (PGM) and a solid carbonaceous residue are formed. When the SGM is cooled in the condensation unit, first, liquid fuel fractions are released, then water is separated, and at the end a combustible pyrolysis gas is obtained. Water is a by - product, the volume of which depends on the initial moisture content of the raw materials.

 

When processing solid municipal waste, ballast fractions up to 70 mm in size (high - moisture food waste, earth, street estimates), inorganic materials (metal, glass, construction waste), chlorine - containing PVC components are selected at the waste sorting line. The sorting "tails" are fed through the crusher to the conveyor line and then to the reactor loading unit. Gaseous or liquid fuel is supplied to the reactor burner. Raw materials are heated by transferring heat through the walls of the pipes of the internal thermal loop of the reactor.


To increase the efficiency of heat and mass transfer of substances, a constant tedding of raw materials is carried out due to the rotation of the reactor. After the pyrolysis stage, when gassing in the reactor stops, the hot carbonaceous residue is discharged from the reactor in a closed way.
