The principle of operation of counters with oval gear wheels is that two gear wheels of an oval form, rotating under the influence of a stream of liquid and being in gearing, measure some volume of liquid at each turn. Rotation of gear wheels is transferred to the calculating mechanism, being transformed to units of volume.
