Potash strongly accelerates a skhvatyvaniye and curing of concrete and is applied at construction works during the winter period if during keeping before acquisition of critical durability concrete temperature with the maximum dosage of an additive does not fall below -25 °C.
Concrete mixes with potash are characterized by very short terms of jelling which are a little depending on temperature (the beginning - 0,1-2 h, the end - 0,2-4 h). Acceleration of curing of concrete is caused by the fact that potash, changing solubility of silicate components of cement, forms double or main salts with products of its hydration. At interaction with products of hydration of aluminum-bearing phases of cement (SZA, C4AF) potash forms gidrokarboalyumiat calcium.
