Pesticides Pesticides (Latin pestis — an infection and lat. caedo — to kill) (agricultural toxic chemicals) — the chemical funds used for pest control and diseases of plants, weeds, wreckers of grain and grain products, wood, products from cotton, wool, skin from an ektoparazitama of pets, and also with carriers of dangerous diseases of the person and animals. Pesticides unite the following groups of such substances: the herbicides destroying the weeds, insecticides destroying insects wreckers, the fungicides destroying the pathogenic mushrooms, zootsida destroying harmful warm-blooded animals etc. The most part of pesticides are poisons, the poisoning organisms targets, but carry to them also sterilizers (the substance causing infertility) and growth inhibitors.
