The pallet or a pallet — a transport container, means of packing which takes the rigid platform and place sufficient for creation of the integrated cargo unit. It is intended for storage of freight and its movement by means of mechanical means. The goods placed on the pallet can be attracted to it by belts (fixing tapes) or are wrapped up thermoshrinkable or streych by films.

Evropalet is used, mainly, for retail trade, its size is determined by the internal sizes of the trucks which are carrying out deliveries from warehouses to retail trade institutions. The ISO 6780 standard defines pallets of six sizes, in particular: 1000×1200×144 mm (ISO2).
