Miko 2 x 50 Ton Re-floating System (2 x 50 T BS)
A re-floating operation of a sunken or partly sunken structure is a challenging operation. High attention is paid to safety and, - when on site, a high cost crane vessel must work efficiently. A combination of crane vessels and this re-floating system, will reduce the time for the actual lifting operation as well as it reduces the need for crane capacity. The Miko 2 x 50T Re-Float System is characterised by its simplicity in the design and flexibility in use, - makes it easy for divers (or ROV's) to install and monitor during the entire operation. All components can be handcarried (less than 50 kg in air), but at the same time the most reliable fabrics and materials are used.
Result; - a safe and efficient salvage / UW operation at lower costs.

The 2 x 50 TBS has the following characteristics;
a) Continues control of buoyancy and air-pressure during the entire lifting operation for the following reasons.
I) Firstly the element is divided into five compartments preventing the air from shifting position
II) Secondly a preset over-pressure is maintained as the large capacity valve always is located a certain distance below the bouyancy element.
b) The load distribution from the element through aluminium clamps ensure the stresses to be evenly spread, ensuring no build-up of stresses.
c) The (triangular) Load Transfer Frames creates the desired distance between the Bouyancy Cylinder and the hull. There is normally no contact (hence no deformation) between the material and the hull.
d) The system is a cost efficient.
