All - weather keeping of animals on a laying:
sawdust - the bad conductor of heat and therefore the surface does not heat up. Such heat is not capable to heat the room in the summer in the presence of ventilation and in public or windows. The laying just will be warm, dry, indoors there will be no humidity.
And in the winter behind closed doors and windows the room, somewhat, can heat up, and is not present in the summer as the environment is more powerful and temperature is leveled from surrounding.
