NANOFILTERING OF NF-

it is one of types of membrane filtering which separates molecules which size lies in the range 0,0005-0,001µм. Lactose and some amino acids, and some monovalent ions gets to this range, for example sodium and potassium pass through time of membranes. The operating pressure applied when nanofiltering fluctuates ranging from 1 to 3 MPas. Membranes of nanofiltering are intended for department of water and part of minerals. As a result of condensation the concentrate (retentat) and permeate turns out (water with the maintenance of minerals and salts). Most often the condensation on installation of nanofiltering is carried out to 18-20% of solids, in view of the maximum economic efficiency. Moreover, received as nanofiltering - permeate water can be purified on installation of reverse osmosis and to use for technology needs.
Thus, if to condense serum by means of nanofiltering installation, there is partial demineralization of concentrate. Therefore, in certain cases (processing of salty serum) nanofiltering can be highly effective and economically reasonable.
The serum processed by means of nanofiltering can be directed to further production of dry powder.

Main application of Nanofiltration
Usually nanofiltering is applied in cases when it is necessary to remove from solution proteins, amino acids, sugar and other particles, leaving in filtrate only salt molecules:
• partial demineralization and condensation of sweet and acid serum;
• partial demineralization of concentrate of whey proteins on production of baby food, as preprocessing, before electrodialysis;
• partial demineralization of milk;
• partial demineralization of permeate after ultrafiltration;
• desalting of sea water;
• recuperation of technology water.
