HOS hooks with an eye and the safety lock are completing modular system of chain load-lifting slings of the 8th class of durability [G80],
Application: are used as terminal or suspended hooks for simple and fast connection of branches of a sling with freight or other load gripping adaptation. Besides, by means of hanging on chain links hooks of HOS can serve for formation of a loop. The safety lock interferes with any release of a hook and therefore, its continuous existence is obligatory.
Loading: the influencing loading - only in the longitudinal direction on the hook basis, at observance of the rule of free alignment of provision of a hook in the direction of influence of loading. Admissible loading capacity for available standard sizes are specified in the table. When using hooks of HOS in rope slings it is necessary to consider that for the specified values of loading capacity the coefficient of margin of safety 4:1 is valid.
