Innovation: Device and method for recovery of zinc sulfide as a secondary raw material

The method for reducing zinc sulfide as the recoverable material from cathodoluminofors of the wasted TV cathode ray tubes and monitors to be utilized comprises the dissolution of cathodoluminofors with zinc sulfide in 0.1 N solution of the mineral acid, the precipitation of crystalline zinc sulfide with 0.025 M ammonia sulfide as precipitating agent in 1.5-2.5-fold excess. The precipitate is the washed, filtered, dried at the temperature of 100-120 °C, and identified. The stock solution is used for reducing other components of cathodoluminofors.
