Grounding conductor vertical compound

The vertical compound deep grounding conductor capable to plunge on depth about 20 m, into the dense and moisture saturated layers of earth having low specific electric resistance effective for spreading of current.

The grounding conductor represents a set of the steel cores 1,5 m long which are consistently connected among themselves by means of couplings and immersed on depth from 1,5 m to 20 m depending on the required value of resistance of grounding.

The grounding conductor allows to provide:

• achievement of rated size of resistance of the grounding device (GD) the minimum quantity of vertical electrodes with the minimum material inputs,
• reduction of the space occupied by the STORAGE
• durability of the STORAGE, commensurable with service life of the grounded electroinstallation that is reached by protection of cores the anticorrosive zinc covering received by method of hot galvanizing
• stability and invariance of rated size of resistance of the STORAGE from seasonal fluctuations of temperature, due to immersion of electrodes deeply. The seasonal coefficient of deep grounding conductors at their immersion on 10 m and below, comes nearer to 1,
• convenient and safe technology of immersion by use of standard ergonomic elements of grounding, and also serially let out manual vibropercussion instrument with the parameters which are specially picked up for this purpose.

The features of a design providing immersion deeply and long firmness in soil:

• the strengthened steel with the protective zinc covering reached by method of hot galvanizing
• connection of separate cores by means of the carving coupling. Such design of connection provides immersion of cores on considerable depth. Having a little bigger diameter in comparison with diameter of a core, the coupling assumes the main using-up loading during immersion in soil. Thanks to the coupling load from lateral friction of cores considerably decreases,
• the grounding conductor allows to use it for grounding of the equipment working in zones with cathodic protection
• unlike copper electrodes of grounding does not create problems with compatibility of grounding and cathodic protection.

Deep earth electrode is a set of hot-dip galvanized steel rods, 1,5 m in length, successively connected by means of threaded couplings with the possibility of their immersion to the depth of up to 20 m into dense and moisture-saturated layers of the ground with low electrical resistance.
