The facade and sides of a balcony are pasted over with dense polyfoam which is plastered then on a special grid, and is painted under the general color of a facade of the building. Such isolation perfectly protects in the summer from a heat, and in the winter from cold.
If your plans do not include creation of a winter greenhouse, then it is not obligatory to carry out thorough heating on the glazed loggia or a balcony. If you have a centralized heating, on changes in heating system special permission is required, and after such permission the glazed balcony with heating can be qualified as living space, and to increase a rent according to results of re-planning. It should be noted that qualitatively glazed and trimmed balcony does not need additional heating — to slightly open a door to the room enough.
