Fire-resistant glass for fireplaces and furnaces, 70х80 cm
Glass ceramics of "ROBAX" Germany
Heat resisting glasses are a special grade of transparent ceramics. Ordinary glass can be applied only in those places where temperature reaches no more than 260 C, and the glass ceramics i.e. chimney glass, is capable to sustain temperature of 800 degrees Celsius.
Glass chimney cleared covered with a metal oxide. A cover imperceptible for an eye also does not influence a general view of glass. Thanks to this cover the big share of infrared radiation is reflected in a fireplace that involves growth of temperature on a surface of internal glass approximately for 25% in comparison with heat-resistant usual glass and improves burning. Thereof process the soot which accumulated on glass inside burns out. Such effect is called effect of self-cleaning.
Fire-resistant glass differs from the heat-resistant, or heat-resistant (tempered) glass in the range of temperatures of application - to 800 and to 300 C respectively. Heat-resistant glass can be applied to heat-resistant ware, or to a dukhovochny case, however not to furnaces and fireplaces. However, both fire-resistant and heat-resistant glass demands careful attitude, and does not allow sharp changes of temperature (sharp cooling of heated glass, hit of water and td.)
