The main function of honeycombs - to fill emptiness between coverings and to stiffen a cloth, to exclude local deflections of coverings on both sides of a cloth, creating at the same time planeness of surfaces so necessary for further operations. Honeycombs, depending on the size of a cell, cardboard density, differ on rigidity. For doors honeycombs with a cell of 45 mm and durability on compression on thickness in the stretched state not less than 0,5 kg/cm2 (State standard specification 23233-78) are generally used. Preferably from experience of our firm, for doors it is better to use honeycombs with a cell of 35 mm and less, for table-tops - from 25 to 16 mm. A covering - DVP, a chipboard, MDF and others.
