Ferrocene

Basis of all ferrotsinsoderzhashchy preparations (FSP) used in veterinary science is the inorganic ion exchanger the ferrocene representing a complex of the almost insoluble compounds of iron created in the form of nanoparticles. Possessing unique sorption characteristics ferrocene selectively deletes from various environments heavy toxic metals (cadmium, lead, mercury, thallium, etc.) and dangerous radionuclides. For the first time paid attention to feratsinsoderzhashchy sorbents in the late sixties of the XX century when after intensive tests of the nuclear weapon of the USA and the USSR it became clear that in many countries production of animal husbandry is polluted by the radionuclides which got to the soil at radioactive fallout. FSP showed the best sorption characteristics in comparison with the known artificial and natural materials both full biological and ecological safety. In the Soviet Union medical "Ferrotsin" was developed for first-aid kits of the NPP. Germany investigated FSP for removal of radionuclides from organisms of various animals. After the Chernobyl accident by the Soviet and European scientists hundreds of sorbents for development of the veterinary preparations preventing intake of radionuclides (especially caesium) in production of animal husbandry were studied. After six years' researches, skilled and industrial tests as medicines for animals of 1993 the ferrotsinsoderzhashchy preparations "Ferrotsin" and "Bifezh" of production of NPP Eksorb Yekaterinburg which technologies of receiving were patented in Russia, the USA, the European Union were registered in the State registry. "Ferrocene" - the main active ingredient representing agglomerates of nanoparticles of dark blue color. Getting into a digestive tract of animals of "Ferrotsin" forms colloidal system of the nanoparticles possessing a huge surface and sorption activity. Colloids of FSP form strong complexes with toxic minerals, not capable to get through a mucous membrane of the digestive channel. "Бифеж" contains 10% of the ferrrotsin applied on the cellulose carrier (bran, cellulose, grain, etc.) . The preparation "Ferrotsin" is applied as an enterosorbent in doses: - to bull-calves on sagination of 3-6 grams on the head daily; - to milk cows of 3-6 grams on the head daily entire period of a lactation; The Preparation "Bifezh" is applied as an enterosorbent in doses: - to bull-calves on sagination of 30-60 grams on the head daily; - to milk cows of 30-60 grams on the head daily entire period of a lactation; - to pigs of 0,1-0,2 grams on kilogram of live weight; - to a bird of 0,1-0,2 grams on kilogram of live weigh
