1 ml of drug contains the active ingredient (mg)
Ivermectin - 4 mg.
Pharmacological properties
ATCvet QP54AA, avermectins (ATCvet QP54AA01, invermectins).
Ivermectin belongs to the chemical group of macrocyclic lactones. Pharmacological action of the drug based on blocking of nervous impulses interval between motor neurons and ventral trunk excitatory neurons parasites, which leads to their paralysis and death.
Application
Treatment and prevention of invasive disease of horses caused by infection nematosis Ascaridae, Strongylidae, Strongyloididae, Oxyurata, Trihonematidae, Distyocaulus spp, Parafilariamultipapillosa, Onchocerca cervicalis and lichinkamiGasterophilus spp.
Dosing
Profiverm gel is used once, ain the dose of - 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight. The drug is injected with a syringe-tube at the root of the animal tongue.
Contraindications
Not recommended for stallions aged up to 4 months.
Warning
After deworming slaughter is allowed only after 28 days. In the case of the slaughter before the deadline meat is used to feed carnivorous animals or for the production of meat-and-bone meal.
