The next step towards improving the energy efficiency of our products was the development of the TMG35 series of transformers.
Energy - saving transformers of the TMG35 series are an innovative product, in the development of which the specialists of JSC "METZ IM. V. I. KOZLOVA" were guided by the levels of no - load and short - circuit losses established in the EN 50464 - 1: 2007 standard and falling under the preferential supply of energy - efficient products prescribed in the Resolution Government of the Russian Federation of June 17, 2015 No. 600.
Structurally, the TMG35 series transformers have retained all the advantages of the previous series transformers - hermetic design, in corrugated tanks with full oil filling, a laminated core - type magnetic circuit (step - lap mixing scheme) made of high - quality electrical steel, low voltage foil windings, etc.
At the same time, of all power transformers commercially available in the CIS, TMG35 transformers provide the lowest level of no - load and short - circuit losses.
The effect of reducing losses was achieved, including due to the additionally invested materials spent on the manufacture of transformers TMG32 and TMG35, therefore their cost exceeds the cost of transformers of the most massive series TMG11.
However, when choosing a newly commissioned transformer, it is not enough to be guided only by its price. It is necessary to take into account all the components of the life cycle cost, including the cost of electricity losses in the transformer for the entire service life (at least 30 years).
So, for example, for TMG11 transformers with a capacity of 1000 kV • A and a load factor of 0.7, the cost of annual losses is 357 593.7 RUB at a retail price of a transformer - 390 750 RUB, i. e. the cost of annual losses is 90% of the price of the transformer and will surpass it in less than 1.2 years of operation. For 30 years, the cost of losses exceeds this price by more than 27 times.
The efficiency of using energy - saving transformers is illustrated by the difference in the cost of annual losses (Table 4). So for the TMG35 transformer with a capacity of 1000 kV • And the cost of annual losses is 285,855.8 RUB, and for the TMG11 transformer - 357,593.7 RUB, the difference is 71,737.9 RUB, while the difference in prices for transformers is 195,050 RUB. Those. the additional 195,050 RUB invested in the purchase will pay off in 2.7 years, and then every next year, they will bring savings of 71,737.9 RUB.
The economic effect from the introduction into operation of new energy - saving series of transformers manufactured by JSC "METZ IM. V. I. KOZLOVA" can be significant. For example, when replacing 1000 pieces. transformers with a capacity of 1000 kV • A series TMG11, which are in operation in the power system of Moscow, for the same number of transformers of the new TMG35 series of the same capacity, by reducing losses, savings of more than 1.1 million US dollars will be achieved, more than 3 , 7 thousand tons of fuel equivalent for a year of operation, and for the entire service life of a transformer (at least 30 years) - more than 33 million US dollars and more than 112 thousand tons of fuel equivalent. The current economic situation requires from power grid companies a rational approach to the selection and purchase of electrical equipment. The choice of the power of a newly commissioned transformer, its price, load, optimal level of losses should be economically justified, proceeding, first of all, from the lowest cost of the product's life cycle. Do not forget the environmental aspect: the lower the energy losses, the less polluted the environment
It should be noted that until recently, energy - saving transformers of domestic production were produced mainly with the levels of no - load and short - circuit losses corresponding to the TMG12 series transformers, the production of which was started by the Minsk Electrotechnical Plant. But we perfectly understand that there is no “universal transformer”, and when purchasing equipment for a specific object, the consumer should have a choice.
