The main technical control methods over pipelines developed as in Russia, and abroad are known to security specialists of transportation of hydrocarbons. As a rule, they are expensive, are not always easy in service and do not solve many of required tasks.
CJSC Introtest-Omsk suggests the oil and gas companies to consider essentially new type of control of operation of pipelines - system of automatic detection and localization of places of leaks from the pipelines (SOU/SONP) working under pressure of more than 0,02 MPas.
The operation principle of system is presented on an AND cercuit based on allocation from the general flow of the waves of pressure extending on the pipeline with liquid of a wave of reduction of pressure, and definition of time of its arrival by the ends of the protected site with automatic calculation of the place of leak, and also - on visual definition of time of arrival of a wave according to schedules of pressure and calculation of the place of leak for the established viewfinders.
It allows to reach required sensitivity, reliability of detection of leak and the place of its emergence when using the minimum quantity of hardware components. Length of the protected site can make up to 200 km, at the same time the equipment of system is installed only on the ends of a site.
The design minimum size of the found selections (sensitivity) depending on the mode of transfer of a product makes 1 - 2 p/a that corresponds to an opening in the pipeline 5 - 10 mm. At tests on the pipelines which are in a static state (latches are closed on both sides, liquid pressure more than 0,05 MPas), sensitivity of system is received less than 1 p/a (3 - 7 mm).
Accuracy of definition of the place of selection (leak) makes not worse ± 500 m.
At the moment the system not only has passed tests in the different modes of pumping of oil and oil products, but also on the Sokur-Plotnikovo pipelines in the Novosibirsk region also "Omsk-Isilkul" in the Omsk region and others successfully functions.
