Receivers
RECEIVER (English receiver, literally — the recipient), a vessel for a skaplivaniye of gas or couple; the hl intends. obr. for smoothing of the fluctuations of pressure caused by the pulsing giving and a faltering expense. The receiver serves in compressor installation also for cooling of gas and office of drops of oil and moisture. In steam-engines a receiver — the heatisolated pipe connecting cylinders of high and low pressure.

The main destination of an air receiver (air collector) is a creation of a reserve of air by means of air compressors. And also decrease in fluctuations of pressure in the air duct that, in turn, means more uniform operating mode of the compressor, with the smaller number of launches of the engine or, in a case with screw compressors, and smaller number of transitions of the compressor from an operating mode in the mode of idling and back.
