Pumps centrifugal firefighters (normal pressure) of the PN-40UV type are intended for water supply and water solutions of frothers with the temperature up to 303 K (30 C) with a hydrogen indicator of RN from 7 to 10,5 with a density up to 1100 kgm-3 and mass concentration of firm particles to 0,5% at their maximum size of 3 mm.
Are used for installation in the closed compartments of fire trucks, fire boats of mobile fire installations. Pumps are not intended for work on sea water.
Are made in a climatic modification of "UHL" for category of placement of 2 GOST I5I50.
Device of fire pumps. The schematic diagram of the fire pump is submitted in fig. 4.1. The driving wheel on a shaft is placed in a pump housing. The pump housing is closed by a cover. To a cover the soaking-up branch pipe closed by a cap fastens. The pump wheel on a shaft is recorded by a spline, and in the axial direction fastens a nut. The shaft of the pump is installed in the case on rolling bearings. On a shaft the tachometer drive for measurement of frequency of rotation of a wheel of the pump is installed. In an oil bathtub of the pump, through the opening closed by a stopper fill in oil. The oil bathtub is isolated from a case cavity in which the wheel, and from external environment is placed by consolidations. For ensuring work of the consolidation placed between a wheel and an oil bathroom it has to be greased. Lubricant moves by means of a butterdish. Depression is measured in the soaking-up cavity by manovakuum-meter. Discharge of the water remaining in a pump housing after switching off of the pump is made through a faucet. Oil or the water which filtered into an oil bathtub merge through the opening closed by a stopper.
Work of the pump is carried out as follows. To the soaking-up branch pipe, having removed a cap, attach the soaking-up sleeve. After filling with the water which is soaking up lines turn on the pump. A wheel, rotating, provides water supply from the soaking-up line in a pressure head branch pipe and further to the hose line.
