Funnels quartz

DESCRIPTION The ware from quartz glass is used for work in the conditions of high temperatures and pressure (working temperature to 1250 °C), dynamic and vibration loads, kinetic heating and quenching, nuclear and space radiations. Quartz glass possesses unique complex of valuable physical and chemical properties: high optical homogeneity, small light absorption, resistance to ionizing radiation and laser radiation of high intensity, in low thermal expansion coefficient. All products from quartz glass thermally are also chemically steady, are not affected by organic and inorganic acids, except hydrofluoric and orthophosphoric (heated to temperature over 300 °C). Almost all testing solutions and rainfall do not enter chemical interaction with quartz glass therefore the quartz chemical ware with success can replace platinum ware in laboratories. Quartz glass represents the silicate glass consisting practically only of one silicon dioxide. Silicon oxide in quartz glass is in amorphous form and for this reason it does not crack at sharp thermal gradient. (When heating products to T = 800±20 °C with the subsequent cooling in running water, products do not crack also chips even at 20 heatchanges).

The funnel quartz of vitreous silica is applied to work with acid and neutral substances at temperatures up to 1250 °C.
