The microclimate in a pigsty - the most important factor of the whole technological cycle of growing pigs. It is part of the ventilation system and heating.

From the creation of an adequate microclimate depends on the efficiency of each particular enterprise, ie climate directly affects the economic performance of the production of pork.

The specificity of the microclimate in pig areas is primarily determined by the fact that on the territory of the industrial pig farms such as are facilities for holding livestock four age and sex groups, each of which is necessary to create a strictly individual microclimate with specific parameters.

Violation of these parameters, especially smokers for sows with suckling piglets, as well as the premises for rearing piglets after weaning, may lead to fatal consequences, or significantly affect the safety of pigs, and further on such manufacturing factors as daily weight gain, feed conversion, and others. - adequate ventilation based on the volume of air per 1 kg of live weight (set technologists or breeding material producers);

- uniform mixing and distribution of air throughout the room;

- no drafts and the impossibility of entering the incoming air directly to animals (! During the cold season), especially for pigs rooms.

As a rule, the air enters the room through the wall vents, valves, and is ejected through the ventilation shafts on the roof.
