Ekomet's composition of A101

Technology process of chemical oxygenating (chromatizing) of aluminum and its alloys is intended for finishing processing of details for the purpose of increase of their corrosion resistance, and also for pretreatment before coloring. The technology provides increase of corrosion resistance of details, gives them golden or bronze color. In case of coloring of details (including powder materials) the technology of preparation including chromatizing provides the most high corrosion resistance of aluminum details.

The technology can be used for receiving coverings on siliceous cast alloys of aluminum (it is SCARLET, joint stock company), and also on the combined line of surface preparation of aluminum, steel and zinc galvanized steel.

Two main options of technology of chromatizing of aluminum and its alloys are recommended.

The 1st option (shortened):

• degreasing etching, not less than 2 washings
• chromatizing ("EKOMET - A101"),
• afterwashes and drying.

2nd option (traditional):

degreasing, washing, etching clarification, washing, chromatizing ("EKOMET - A101"), washing and drying.

For the choice of option of preparation it is necessary to consider brand of alloy and condition of its surface (including — zazhirennost). It is also desirable to carry out trial tests with samples of alloys.

Composition of solution of chromatizing:

• composition of "EKOMET - A101" — 35 - 40 ml/l.
• rn 1,6 - 2,4 (optimum value 1,8 - 2,0),
• adjustment is made by nitric acid or 10% alkali liquor.

Processing conditions:

• temperature — 20 - 30ºC;
• dwell time — 1 - 3 minutes.

Approximate expense of composition: 3 - 4 ml of composition of "EKOMET - A101" on 1 kg of aluminum hire (or 10 - 15 ml on 1 ^{sq. m} of surface of details).

It is necessary to store composition of "EKOMET - A101" in the closed container at temperature above + 4ºC; warranty period of storage of composition — 18 months.
