Air coolers are divided into two types:
- intermediate coolers
- end air coolers.
These coolers are used to cool the compressed air in the stages of centrifugal compressors.
1. Intermediate coolers:
- Intermediate air cooler consists of a welded body with arranged in it uniform and welded tube bundles water boxes.
- Inside the housing mounted air ducts for the organization of the direction of air flow through the beams.
- This construction allows most effectively produce the cooling air.
Aligned air cooler bundles are collected from tubesheets and tubes of all - rolled fins. The housing has connecting flanges with fittings for entry and exit of air.
Parameters used in the tubes of tube bundles of air coolers:
- base pipe material: LO - 70 A - 68, M1, M - 2, M - 3, MNZH 5 - 1
- finning material: AD1M
- an outer diameter (fin height) 19 - 57 mm
- 21.5 - 10.5 fin ratio
- tube length of from 400 to 6000 mm.
Production capabilities of "Energomash" allow to manufacture heat exchangers with a wide range of parameters, including drawings and sketches presented to customers.
2. End coolers:
Air cooler end for air cooling after leaving the compressor.
Comprises:
- Welded body with welded connections for inlet and outlet air
- Beam tube consisting of the tube sheets and the tubes tselnokatonnogo fins.
- Upper and lower water chambers (chambers iron, cast)
- On top of the water chamber are arranged two flanged pipe for supplying cooling water.
