The device of automatic blocking of arrows and signals of ABSS-1M is intended for automated management of signal lights and drives of railroad switches on block sites of underground rail transport of the mines of average and small output having no more than 8 routes and four drive arrows. Opening of signals, ensuring blocking dependences and all switchings on switching are carried out by the equipment automatically or at the command of the driver of an electric locomotive.

It is calculated for work in the mines dangerous on a gas burst and dust where use of electric equipment in the miner flame-proof construction is required.

Can work in the conditions of a frigid, temperate and tropical climate at:
- to ambient air temperature from-10 to +35 °C;
- relative air humidity at 35 °C to 100%.
