Cryogenic pipelines

  A cryogenic conduit - one of the basic elements of the transport systems of cryogenic liquid products from producer to consumer.

  To minimize heat transfer by radiation to the surface of the process line deposited multilayer insulation shield consisting of alternating layers of aluminum and fiberglass.

 Structure cryogenic piping made according to the "tube-in-tube": stainless steel inner tube contains a liquid, the stainless steel outer tube accommodates vacuum insulation and accepts external loads.

 The vacuum heat transport by the heat transfer is impossible due to the absence of direct contact between the inner tube and the outer casing. It is also impossible to transfer heat by convective heat transfer due to the absence of fluid in the vacuum chamber. The heat radiation is not allowed through the use of additional insulation: many screens that reflect heat radiation. Heat transfer is limited by heat transfer due to the necessary use of pipe supports.

  This type of pipe is made of two concentric tubes: an inner tube, also called technological, which contains the process medium and the outer casing, also called the vacuum chamber. The ends of each pipe section prefabrication depend on the method of installation on site, but always consist of a long metal connection piece, which avoids the occurrence of thermal bridges, causing a high heat conductivity and cold spots in the pipe.

  Advantages cryogenic vacuum insulated pipelines:

• significant reduction of heat transfer;
• low operating costs, as the pipelines of this type require repeated vacuuming only once in 10-15 years to ensure optimal operation;
• quality vacuum insulation for about 10-20 times higher than the quality of other types of insulation such as polyurethane foam glass;
• quick and easy installation.
