The bridge crane - the crane which load gripping adaptation is suspended to the cargo cart or a waist which move along a bridge design. The bridge of the crane moves along a crane way by means of movement mechanisms.
Purpose of bridge cranes
Bridge cranes are intended for performance of unloading and loading works on the open areas and in the closed production rooms. Usually bridge cranes use in production shops for movement of freights in heavy operating modes. Bridge cranes use at steel works, power plants and in machine halls.

Technical characteristics
Structurally distinguish bridge cranes:
Basic which mechanisms of movement lean from above on subcrane ways. As a way the rail or a square which are mounted on the top shelf of subcrane beams is used. Subcrane beams are established on concrete or metal support (columns), or as support constructional elements of the building are used.
Suspended which mechanisms of movement lean on the lower shelves of beams of a suspended way which settles down under overlapping of the room.
On a bridge design pavements conditionally divide cranes on one - frame and two - frame.
