Application

When the granulated compound feed or pellets come out from a press – the granulator, temperature of granules makes from 70 to 90 °C. Cooling is an important stage in production of fodder or biofuel granules. Counterflow coolers of a series CC cool granules up to the temperature, is only 3 - 5 °C higher than room. In too time, in the course of cooling the content of water in granules will be reduced more than by 3% . Thanks to it quality of fodder and biofuel granules will be stable at shipment, transportation and storage. The counterflow cooler is an important component in production lines of production of the granulated forages and biofuel.

Characteristics

1. This cooler for granules possesses large volume of cooling and a long cycle of cooling that increases efficiency.

Principle of work and advantage:

This counterflow cooler is a novelty in a series of coolers for granules which cools hot and damp granules by means of counterflow cooling. The principle of work is as follows: Cold air arrives through a layer of granules vertically, in a direction opposite to the material movement. Thus, cold air at first with colder granules, and heating up, states with the granules having high temperature that provides gradual cooling. This method allows to avoid direct contact of cold air and hot granules, preventing emergence of cracks from a difference of temperatures.
As cold air comes to a cooler from the bottom, the area of an air inlet increases, and the efficiency of cold air increases, providing cooling good results. This cooler from stainless steel, not only economically consumes energy, but also has high extent of automation and differs in simplicity in work. This cooler provides higher efficiency, in comparison with vertical or horizontal coolers.
