Coke is valuable raw materials and a target product for a number of productions.
It should be noted that coke cost by 3-5 times of high price of initial coal and complex production of heat and coke is highly profitable.
The class of coke is wide and various.
Now the main consumer of coke is domain production with standards and requirements to quality of the coke received in modern furnaces. Not domain productions (foundry, agglomeration of ores, ferroalloy, carbide, phosphoric, etc.) also consume a large amount of coke which has to meet the conforming standards and requirements to quality, but are forced to use either usual domain coke, or its small classes.
For example, high technical and economic rates of operation of electrothermal units, are reached when using as a reducer of small coke (5-40th).
