The hard ness of CVDD is similar to that of mono diamond, hence it ensures the un-rivaled sharpness of the wheels.
The CVD diamond wafer can be grown as large as 200 mm in diameter, and its thickness could be over 3 mm, thus CVD diamond is not confined to the limitation of size and availability, and the materials can be laser-cut into any size possible.
CVD diamond is, in general, a kind of isotropic material, thus it is un-necessary to choose the crystallographic orientation in the manufacture and use of the dressing tools.
In the course of dressing process, CVD diamond logs wears evenly. Its cross section remains immovable, unlike the midway desquamation phenomenon of mono diamond, thus ensuring the consistency of dressing parameters, and making use of the material to the maximum.
No binder catalyst is included in CVD diamond, which makes its thermal stability the same as mono diamond.
In diamond dresser applications, CVD diamond logs can be made into single and multi-point dressers, shaped tools for form and profile, diamond dressing rollers, etc.
The letter t indicates the thickness of CVD diamond materials, say from the nucleation side to the growth side.
